Each year two juniors at Sweet
Briar College have an

Since 1982 Sweet Briar College has offered a scholarship
to a student from Heidelberg.
This student works with the German faculty at Sweet Briar in providing tutorial
help, organizes and advises the German Club, is available regularly for a German
table in the Prothro Commons and undertakes other duties as arranged with the
German faculty. In return this student receives a full-tuition scholarship,
room and board and a monthly stipend.

Two students from Sweet Briar
College may attend the University in Heidelberg
during their third year and will receive from the University: |
| (1) A room in a student dormitory (rent paid by the student). |
| (2)Assistance with matriculation and other administrative needs. |
| (3) An orientation week. |
| (4) Advising during registration. |
| (5) A transcript issued by the University showing courses completed. |
| (6) 4 week language course and cultural program
in September (Fees paid by the University of Heidelberg) |
| (7) Special courses in German for
foreign students during the semester (as needed 4, 8, or 20 hours per week)(Fees paid by the University of Heidelberg) |
| (8)Access to regular university classes at the University of Heidelberg |
