Sweet Briar-Goethe Institute Total Immersion Weekend

Sweet Briar College and the Goethe-Institut Washington are hosting a Total Immersion Weekend to be held on the campus of Sweet Briar College from October 8-10, 1999.

This year's subject will be: Neue landeskundliche Materialien für den Deutschunterricht einschließlich neue Materialien "Zum Goethe-Jahr", sowie "50 Jahre Bundesrepublik Deutschland.

Freitag, 8.10.

18.00 Uhr: Gemeinsames Abendessen
------anschließend: Einführung in das Wochenend-Programm

Samstag, 9.10.

Ab 8.00 Uhr: Frühstück im Hotel

9.00 Uhr: 50 Jahre Bundesrepublik: Landeskundliche Materialien, Videos "100 Deutsche Jahre", u.a.
mit AGs ( Birgit Schweckendiek,Karen Steffi Springer,(Goethe-Institut Washington)
12.00: Uhr Gemeinsames Mittagessen

14.00 Uhr: Landeskunde auf dem Internet mit Ags (Birgit Schweckendiek )

18.00 Uhr: Gemeinsames Abendessen
--------anschließend: Zeit für AG-Arbeit

21.00 Uhr Lesung: Ralph Grüneberger

Sonntag, 10.10.

Ab 8.00: Uhr Frühstück im Hotel

10.00 Uhr: Ergebnisse der AGs im Plenum

12.00 Uhr: Brunch

For more information please contact Professor Ronald Horwege. The cost of the program to participants is $65.00. The Goethe-Institut will then cover the expenses for 2 nights' accomodation in double rooms at the Florence Elston Inn on the Sweet Briar College campus..

The group will be limited to 35 participants on a first come, first served basis. The application deadline was September 1, 1999.
