Alexandria City Public Schools (Virginia) is inviting applications for a
fulltime German teacher at Francis Hammond Middle School. The teaching
schedule includes German IA, IB and World Language Exploratory classes
(focused on German language and culture). The ideal candidate should be able
to relate well to middle school students, be flexible, enthusiastic and
willing to build up a strong German program for a very supportive school
division. Candidates must also have near-native fluency in German and be
eligible for Virginia certification. Starting salary for a 192 day contract
is 42,670 (BA/BS) or 48,900 (MA/MS) + excellent fringe benefits. Up to 12
